Racing Incident Report

DANZULU was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore). Before being allowed to race again, DANZULU will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ZAIDAN was slow to begin. From the outside barrier, NIGHTLIGN was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. After the 1000 Metres, PAGANINI’S SOUL was left racing wide and without cover. After the race, Apprentice K C Leung (BERIO) reported that passing the 700 Metres his saddle shifted to the right hand side, placing him at a disadvantage for the remainder of the race. Also after the race, D Whyte reported that PAGANINI’S SOUL felt uncomfortable in its action in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of PAGANINI’S SOUL after the race did not show any significant findings. LEADING CITY and ZAIDAN were sent for sampling.
