Racing Incident Report

After being loaded, YOUNG SUPREME became fractious. Before being allowed to race again, YOUNG SUPREME will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. KINGSTON MARBLE, which was fractious in the barriers, began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, YOUNG SUPREME was checked when crowded for room between WHITE DRAGON and DESCARTES which shifted in after being bumped by KING CREOLE. Making the turn approaching the 1000 Metres, KING CREOLE got its head up on a number of occasions when proving difficult to settle and lost ground. After this, KING CREOLE continued to prove difficult to settle for some distance and near the 700 Metres again got its head up when momentarily crowded for room inside KINGSTON MARBLE (B Prebble). B Prebble was advised to ensure that he leaves sufficient racing room for runners to his inside in future. Approaching the 800 Metres, PROSPERITY KID, which was proving difficult to settle, and CHATEAU DE CAIX bumped. Throughout the race, CHATEAU DE CAIX travelled wide and without cover. When questioned, Apprentice M L Yeung advised that he had been instructed to ride GOLD JOINT in midfield. He said GOLD JOINT began awkwardly, got its head up and because of this he became unbalanced in the saddle, resulting in GOLD JOINT losing ground. Apprentice Yeung was advised that he must make every endeavour to ensure that his mounts are able to begin with the field. A veterinary inspection of KING CREOLE after the race did not show any significant findings. BENEFACTOR and SUNSHINE BOY were sent for sampling.
