Racing Incident Report

At declaration time, C K Tong was declared as the rider of both GROUP LEADER and GOOD TIMES ROLL. It was established that C K Tong had a firm commitment to ride GOOD TIMES ROLL. As such, the Stewards permitted C Y Ho to be substituted as the rider of GROUP LEADER. For this declaration error, Trainer W Y So was fined $2,000.
MONEY WIN WINS began awkwardly.
RED ADVENTURE was crowded for room shortly after the start between AMAZING ALWAYS and GROUP LEADER, both of which shifted ground. In this incident, AMAZING ALWAYS became unbalanced after being bumped by RED ADVENTURE.
TELECOM PRINCE was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Making the first turn after the 900 Metres, TRIUMPHANT WAY was steadied away from the heels of GOOD TIMES ROLL which shifted in after being brushed by GROUP LEADER which was racing tight inside the heels of CITY DELIGHT.
Approaching the 800 Metres, TELECOM TOP STAR was steadied away from the heels of DOUBLE MOON after improving into tight running inside that horse which, after initially getting its head on the side and laying out, was then taken in by RECORD HIGH. RED ADVENTURE, which was following, was inconvenienced in consequence.
For a considerable distance prior to and after the 600 Metres, TELECOM TOP STAR and SOLAR DRAGON raced tight as TELECOM TOP STAR attempted to shift to the outside of AMAZING ALWAYS into clear running. Then near the 400 Metres, TELECOM TOP STAR was steadied when unable to continue into tight running between SOLAR DRAGON and AMAZING ALWAYS which was directed out by RECORD HIGH.
Approaching the 500 Metres, TELECOM PRINCE and RED ADVENTURE bumped.
After the 200 Metres, SOLAR DRAGON got its head on the side and shifted in under pressure, resulting in its rider changing his whip into his right hand.
In the Straight, TELECOM TOP STAR got its head on the side and lay in under pressure.
Throughout the race, CITY DELIGHT travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.
Apprentice K C Ng (SOLAR BOY) stated that his mount was not able to relax in the race when being pressured by GROUP LEADER and CITY DELIGHT. He said because of this SOLAR BOY was then not able to finish off the race and weakened. A veterinary inspection of SOLAR BOY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

MONEY WIN WINS, AMAZING ALWAYS and RECORD HIGH were sent for sampling.
