Racing Incident Report
Prior to being loaded, the tongue tie applied to HEY CHEERS was refitted.
HEY CHEERS and STREET CAT were slow to begin.
OCEAN POWER began awkwardly and shortly after the start shifted in and bumped LUCKY DAN.
From the outside barrier, BORN TO WIN was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Near the 1400 Metres, when being steadied to obtain a position with cover, OCEAN POWER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of LUCKY DAN.
For some distance approaching and passing the 1100 Metres, FULL OF FUN proved difficult to settle and was inclined to lay away from the running rail.
Passing the 1000 Metres, HEY CHEERS got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of CLASSY VICTOR. At the same point, KISSMET also commenced to prove difficult to settle and got its head up when racing close to the heels of COLLAGEN.
Passing the 700 Metres, KISSMET shifted in towards the heels of HEY CHEERS, resulting in STREET CAT being momentarily crowded for room.
After the 300 Metres, FLYING IBIS got its head on the side and was reluctant to shift out away from the heels of LUCKY DAN.
HEY CHEERS was unable to obtain clear running until passing the 250 Metres.
Approaching the 100 Metres, COLLAGEN was steadied when crowded for room between KISSMET and CLASSY VICTOR (J Moreira) which shifted out under pressure before being straightened by its rider. J Moreira was severely reprimanded and advised that he would be expected to react quicker than he did on this occasion to his mount shifting ground.
For the majority of the race, LUCKY DAN travelled wide and without cover.
HEY CHEERS and THANKSGIVING were sent for sampling.
