Racing Incident Report

CLEMENT LEGEND (V Borges), which was leaning on the outside of its stall as the start was effected, began awkwardly. When CLEMENT LEGEND began awkwardly, V Borges momentarily lost the use of his left stirrup iron.
From the outside barrier, VINCY was steadied and shifted across behind runners shortly after the start.
ABOVE was also steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
When being steadied to obtain cover behind GOD OF DRAGON passing the winning post on the first occasion, CHEERFUL LEADER commenced to over-race and proved difficult to settle, resulting in ABOVE being able to improve its position inside CHEERFUL LEADER. CHEERFUL LEADER was consequently left racing wide and without cover and near the 1700 Metres was allowed to improve its position into the lead near the 1500 Metres.
CLEMENT LEGEND was left racing wide and without cover after the 1600 Metres.
Passing the 1000 Metres, ABOVE momentarily raced tight inside CLEMENT LEGEND.
Rounding the Home Turn, BLASTOISE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of CHEERFUL LEADER which lay out.
At the entrance to the Straight, CLEMENT LEGEND raced in restricted room outside ABOVE which was awkwardly placed behind BLASTOISE.
Approaching the 200 Metres, A Badel (LONDON HALL) dropped his whip.
After the race, J Moreira expressed concern regarding the action of GOD OF DRAGON. A veterinary inspection of GOD OF DRAGON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, GOD OF DRAGON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of CLEMENT LEGEND immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer”.
GOD OF DRAGON, BLASTOISE and VINCY were sent for sampling.
