Racing Incident Report

DRAGON STAR was slow to begin and soon after was crowded between GEM OF SOUTH CHINA and GREAT FOR YOU which was taken out by SHINING FORTUNE. In this incident, GREAT FOR YOU became unbalanced. Then despite being ridden along in the early stages, DRAGON STAR failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
MILLENNIUM FALCON jumped awkwardly.
THE MULTIPLIER shifted out at the start and bumped LUCKY RUBY.
GREAT FOR YOU was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
M L Yeung (GEM OF SOUTH CHINA) stated that his mount failed to show any pace today, was caught wide and when he felt that there was something amiss with the horse near the 400 Metres, he eased it down from the event. A veterinary inspection of GEM OF SOUTH CHINA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of GEM OF SOUTH CHINA, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GEM OF SOUTH CHINA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a series of consecutive barrier trials and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of GREAT FOR YOU immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
THE MULTIPLIER and CALIFORNIA CONCORD were sent for sampling.
