1 12 M UNICORN (G466) Jumped awkwardly. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 4 QUANTUM PATCH (H166) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 3 CALIFORNIA VOCE (H258) Bumped heavily on jumping and became unbalanced. Near the 1300 Metres became unbalanced after improving to the inside of SILVER SONIC which was steadied when racing tight to the inside of U S S CONSTITUTION. Near the 200 Metres was shifted to the inside of U S S CONSTITUTION to secure clear running and then became held up behind TOURBILLON PRINCE for some distance thereafter until it improved into a narrow run between TOURBILLON PRINCE and U S S CONSTITUTION near the 150 Metres. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when racing tight between M UNICORN and QUANTUM PATCH which shifted in.
4 7 ALL BEAUTY (E355) No report.
5 8 SOLID IMPACT (E447) No report.
6 6 IVY LEAGUE (H116) Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by LUCKY EIGHT which shifted out. Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up behind LUCKY EIGHT.
7 5 LUCKY EIGHT (G204) No report.
8 2 TOURBILLON PRINCE (H122) After the race, Z Purton reported that from a wide barrier he was obliged to make some use of his mount in the early stages to hold the lead and this may have resulted in his mount not being able to finish the race off strongly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
9 1 SILVER SONIC (H171) Bumped on jumping. Raced tight near the 1300 Metres. Near the 400 Metres was momentarily held up behind SOLID IMPACT. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 11 U S S CONSTITUTION (H357) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 9 STAR CONTACT (E472) After the race, L Hewitson could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, STAR CONTACT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
