4 6 YODA'S CHOICE (J146) For a short distance approaching the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running between SUPER AXIOM and ACE POWER. Sent for sampling post-race.
5 5 PARTY WARRIOR (E368) After the 150 Metres raced tight to the inside of SUPER EAGLE for some distance and as a result was held up for clear running.
6 2 E UNIVERSE (H151) No report.
7 8 COUNTRY DANCER (H436) Shortly after the start was bumped by E UNIVERSE and shifted out slightly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
8 3 RAGNARR (H297) Bumped on jumping. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
9 4 ACE POWER (J181) Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the left side of its barrier. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 11 SUPER AXIOM (E105) At declaration time, Apprentice E C W Wong had claimed 2 lbs overweight to ride SUPER AXIOM at 113 lbs. When Apprentice Wong was unable to claim down to the advertised weight of 113 lbs, the Stewards permitted H T Mo to be substituted as the rider of SUPER AXIOM. Apprentice Wong was fined a sum of $5,000.
11 10 HAPPY FEELING (H443) Bumped shortly after the start and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 7 GLORIOUS EXPERT (J028) When questioned, K C Leung stated that from a wide barrier as GLORIOUS EXPERT had raced keenly at its previous race start, he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages. He said after jumping awkwardly, GLORIOUS EXPERT then got its head up and became unbalanced when being shifted across behind runners. He said after obtaining a position at the tail of the field making the first turn near the 1000 Metres, GLORIOUS EXPERT became unbalanced when racing tight to the inside of HAPPY FEELING and as a result lost ground. He added, in his opinion, GLORIOUS EXPERT would be better suited by racing at Sha Tin. Noted to have lost its right front plate after the race.
