4 2 KAHOLO ANGEL (H216) When questioned, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that if his mount commenced well, he was given the option to go forward. He said when KAHOLO ANGEL jumped only fairly and did not show pace in the early stages, he elected to shift his mount behind runners to avoid covering additional ground.
5 5 ACT OF FAITH (H082) No report.
6 7 HAPPY TRIO (G244) After the race, L Hewitson stated that his mount was reluctant to improve to the inside of MY FLYING ANGEL making the Home Turn.
7 11 MY FLYING ANGEL (J174) Bumped at the start. After the race, A Badel stated that his mount, which was having its first race start at Happy Valley from a wide barrier, did not appreciate the "Good to Yielding” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 4 ARMOUR EAGLE (G093) After travelling a short distance was eased when crowded between CALIFORNIA TOUCH and HAPPY TRIO which shifted in slightly. After the race, Z Purton reported that his mount did not appreciate the "Good to Yielding” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 8 LIGHTNING BOLT (G130) Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by ACT OF FAITH.
10 9 FORTUNE WHISKEY (J153) Jumped only fairly. Near the 800 Metres blundered.
11 10 FLOOF (H432) Bumped shortly after the start and became unbalanced. From the 700 Metres was left racing wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
