4 5 SAVVY TWINKLE (K067) In the early and middle stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 900 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from HAPPY HOLIDAY. Near the 500 Metres was bumped by HAPPY HOLIDAY which shifted out. In the Home Straight raced greenly and proved difficult to ride out.
5 7 HAPPY HOLIDAY (J240) Raced greenly throughout the event and lay out rounding the turns in the middle stages. Noted to have blood in the mouth after the race.
6 12 ALMIGHTY KICK (J254) Slow to begin.
7 10 SPICY SPANGLE (J087) After the event, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that he was obliged to make some use of his mount in the early stages to cross and lead which resulted in SPICY SPANGLE not being able to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 4 NOBLE GO (K053) Bumped at the start.
9 3 LITTLE SQUID (K050) Slow to begin. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out to the finish when held up behind SPICY SPANGLE.
10 6 SHOTGUN (K111) Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start. Became fractious in the barriers, was removed from the starting gates, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Before being allowed to race again, SHOTGUN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 11 SPORTIC WARRIOR (J385) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WV-A 9 BROTHER CHENG (J046) Dislodged its rider whilst proceeding to the starting gates and as a consequence galloped a considerable distance riderless. Acting on veterinary advice that BROTHER CHENG was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, BROTHER CHENG will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
