H Bowman was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Sunday, 20 April 2025 at Sha Tin. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his very good race riding record. After the event, Z Purton stated that although his mount was interfered with near the 1000 Metres it finished the race off only fairly when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. |
| 8 | 2 | CHATEAUNEUF (J219) | K Teetan was fined the sum of $2,000 for failing to present himself in the Parade Ring by the required time. Bumped at the start. C L Chau (PACKING POWER) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that over the concluding stages he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of CHATEAUNEUF, resulting in CHATEAUNEUF having to check when it lost its rightful running. C L Chau was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Sunday, 20 April 2025 and to expire on Thursday, 24 April 2025 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In addition, Jockey Chau was fined $30,000. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his poor race riding record. |

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of MOJAVE DESERT was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, MOJAVE DESERT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. |
