1 | 5 | FLYING FORTRESS (J445) | Near the 1100 Metres was eased to avoid TARGET AUDIENCE (A Badel) which shifted in when not clear. A Badel was advised to exercise more care. Over the concluding stages lay in. After the event H Bentley reported that approaching the winning post his mount shifted out abruptly, resulting in him having to correct it as he passed the winning post. Sent for sampling post-race. |

4 | 2 | HUGE WAVE (J197) | The tongue tie was replaced at the Start. Over the concluding stages raced tight to the inside of FLYING FORTRESS which shifted in. Approaching the winning post HUGE WAVE was then steadied to avoid FLYING FORTRESS (H Bentley) which continued to shift in. H Bentley was severely reprimanded and advised he must stop riding and straighten his mounts. |
5 | 7 | SOUTH STAR (K153) | Between the 450 Metres and the 250 Metres was held up for clear running. Over the final 50 Metres could not be fully ridden out to the finish when held up behind SUPER EXPRESS. |
6 | 12 | SHAMUS STORM (K031) | Jumped only fairly. When questioned Z Purton stated that making the Home Turn his intention was to improve to the inside of STAR SATYR to follow LIM’S SHAVANO into the race. He said when STAR SATYR commenced to give ground quickly and he was concerned that runner would shift inside one wide, he was then obliged to severely check his mount leaving the 450 Metres to avoid STAR SATYR which resulted in his mount losing ground. After considering the evidence the Stewards found that the principal reason for the incident occurring was the manner in which STAR SATYR gave ground quickly in this incident. |

He said when SOUTH STAR improved to his outside on the Home Turn his mount immediately came under pressure and gave ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. |
