2 4 PATCH OF STARS (J343) Jumped only fairly. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of YOUNG CHAMPION. Near the 100 Metres shifted in towards YOUNG CHAMPION and then became unbalanced when being corrected by its rider H Bowman. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 7 BULB GENERAL (K218) Briefly held up for clear running near the 400 Metres when racing to the inside of SKY TRUST.
4 3 BOTTOMUPTOGETHER (J316) No report.
5 11 GALACTIC VOYAGE (K514) Bounded on jumping and lost ground.
6 10 CHATEAUNEUF (J219) Trainer D A Hayes confirmed that he had instructed Jockey L Hewitson to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages.
7 8 LADY'S CHOICE (H155) No report.
8 1 SKY TRUST (J161) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
9 6 MAGNIFIQUE (K141) Jumped only fairly. J Orman stated that after obtaining a position with cover behind VICTOR THE WINNER his mount raced keenly in the early stages. He said as a result near the 800 Metres he was obliged to shift to the outside of VICTOR THE WINNER to avoid that runner’s heels which resulted in MAGNIFIQUE racing wide and without cover thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. As this was the second occasion that MAGNIFIQUE had bled, the horse is permanently barred from any further racing. Sent for sampling post-race.
10 5 VICTOR THE WINNER (G404) No report.
2 WUNDERBAR (H411) Withdrawn on 28.3.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, WUNDERBAR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
