2 7 MAGIC CONTROL (J333) Jumped awkwardly. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 6 BOTTOMUPTOGETHER (J316) A Badel explained that his instructions were with some flexibility depending on how his mount jumped from an awkward draw. He said given the horse had drawn barrier 1 on the straight course he opted to gain some cover behind TOMODACHI KOKOROE which unfortunately did not take him into the race and near the 400 Metres then shifted in which allowed the horse to finish the race off strongly. Trainer F C Lor confirmed the instructions issued and expressed satisfaction with the ride as he was of the opinion these tactics that were adopted are more suitable to the horse’s winning chances given the race being run over the shorter distance of 1000 Metres.
4 1 RAGING BLIZZARD (H368) No report.
5 2 CRIMSON FLASH (K173) From the 600 Metres raced in restricted room to the outside of BEAUTY WAVES and near the 400 Metres was steadied momentarily to avoid BEAUTY WAVES (C L Chau). C L Chau was advised to exercise more care when he permitted his mount to shift out.
6 8 JOHANNES BRAHMS (K014) No report.
7 5 TOMODACHI KOKOROE (H303) Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 3 BEAUTY WAVES (H294) C L Chau could offer no excuse for the horse’s performance today. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
