Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
13 GOOD GOOD (J224) When questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer J Size stated that the horse races best when able to dictate in front without being challenged. He said this was the reason for the horse’s improved performance today. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 VICTOR SUPREME (K547) Near the 1300 Metres, when racing keenly, shifted out and made contact with SUPREME MASTERMIND. In the Home Straight lay in under pressure, resulting in its rider C Y Ho having to straighten his mount on a number of occasions. Sent for sampling post-race.
5 AMAZING GAZE (K444) No report.
12 KING OF SELECTION (K397) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
1 DREAMING TOGETHER (L215) No report.
6 LUCKY BALERION (L125) Near the 200 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of BIG BIG WORLD. M F Poon stated that the intention was to be more forward but when his mount jumped only fairly and lost ground it settled further back than intended.
14 ON THE LASH (J182) Trainer P C Ng confirmed the instructions were to lead the event. Jumped awkwardly and then despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
10 BIG BIG WORLD (L257) M L Yeung reported that with his mount stepping up in distance it was able to hold a more forward position than its previous race starts. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 LUCKY YEAR (K443) LUCKY YEAR, which was fractious in the starting gates, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to start. Bumped on jumping. H Bentley stated that after being forced wider from the 600 Metres, when AMAZING GAZE shifted out, his mount failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and was disappointing. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of LUCKY YEAR was considered disappointing. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY YEAR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.
