Racing Incident Report

SOUND OF CHEERS jumped awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of GOLDEN BELL. LUCKY AHEAD missed the start slightly, was further inconvenienced when FRUITFUL TRIP shifted in abruptly. After the 800 Metres, ALL FOR YOU shifted out and caused some inconvenience to CAVALO and WINNING STAR. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, WINNING STAR got its head up and hung out. In the early part of the Straight, LUCKY AHEAD was checked and changed course to avoid DANETOP which was weakening. In the Straight, GLOBAL RUNNER shifted out. J Egan (TOP RACER) said the horse at its previous start had left the gates poorly, today from a good gate he had been asked by the Trainer to ensure the horse was loaded with a blindfold and if possible make some use of the good gate. He said TOP RACER jumped well, took up a forward position, was initially travelling well, but then he had to ride along to hold his spot when DANETOP improved outside him. He said in hindsight it may have been better to have ridden TOP RACER somewhat more quietly. GLOBAL RUNNER was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
