Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the barriers, W C Marwing (JEUNE KING PRAWN) reported to the Veterinary Surgeon on duty there that the horse in his opinion was showing signs of being tied up. JEUNE KING PRAWN was trotted up, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. He could find no abnormalities and after further discussion with the rider, it was decided that JEUNE KING PRAWN was suitable to race. EXULTATION jumped awkwardly, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of ASIA RISING. FAT CHOY TREASURE left the gates badly, shifted out abruptly. Because of this, R Fradd was momentarily unbalanced in the saddle. On jumping, ST ALANN threw its head about. In the early stages, NATURALLY MONEY, which was endeavouring to be restrained, proved very difficult to settle and threw its head around. Also in the early stages, CELESTIAL CHIEF became unbalanced when proving difficult to settle. About the 200 Metres, ASIA RISING was shifted in to find running and go forward. In the run to the winning post, EXULTATION shifted in and was momentarily awkward on the hindquarters of JEUNE KING PRAWN. Because of this, Apprentice Y T Cheng stopped riding and straightened. After passing the winning post, W M Lai was dislodged from BASIC INSTINCT.
