Racing Incident Report

On jumping, HONEST STEED put its head in the air, shifted out and was awkward on the hindquarters of FAIRY TALE. Also on jumping, BEAUTY FOUNTAIN was inconvenienced by CONQUEST STAR which shifted in. When the gates opened, ENERGETIC PRINCE, which had been restless in the boxes, came out awkwardly. When being steadied just after the start, POWER OF SUCCESS threw its head about. About the 200 Metres, CHAMPION BOMB shifted out and bumped HONEST STEED. After the 200 Metres, POWER OF SUCCESS was steadied and shifted in abruptly to avoid SIR TIMAH. Approaching the winning post, BEAUTY FOUNTAIN, which was finding the line fairly, was awkwardly placed firstly on the heels of RARE COLLECTION and then shortly afterwards on the heels of FAIRY TALE. Apprentice K C Tsang (STAR DRAGON) said from an outside gate he had been instructed by the Trainer to see if it was possible to let the horse come out a little slowly and take up a position towards the rear but close to the rail. He said in endeavouring to carry out the instructions, he had a short hold on the head of STAR DRAGON. When the gates opened, the horse came out slowly, but immediately threw its head in the air and became unbalanced. BEAUTY FOUNTAIN was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
