Racing Incident Report

KIMBO BELL left the gates awkwardly and threw its head up. Rounding the turn and in the Straight, DON SEBASTIAN hung in and proved difficult to ride out. For some distance near the 400 Metres, GOOD FIT was awkward on the hindquarters of BIA DESERT which was giving ground. About the 300 Metres, GOOD FIT was steadied when tightened between BIA DESERT and LUCKY SUPERSTAR. The Stewards intend to discuss with S K Sit the manner in which he rode BIA DESERT in the early stages. Jockey Sit will be interviewed at the Happy Valley meeting next Wednesday night 25 September 2002. AMBITIONS TYCOON was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. CELLINI and SIROCCO were sent for sampling. Subsequent to the race, the Veterinary Officer reported HIGH SPIRITS had sustained a laceration to its tongue. However, he said in his opinion this was of no significance. He also examined AMBITIOUS TYCOON after the race. No abnormalities were detected.
