Racing Incident Report

LOK WAH TREASURE and JADE RUYI began awkwardly and got their heads up. DEEP PURPLE and ACTIVE ACCOUNT were slow to begin. On jumping, WONDERFUL LIFE stumbled after being bumped by CYBER GULCH. In the early stages, due mainly to the pace, DASH FOR VICTORIES and LOK WAH TREASURE proved difficult to settle. At the 2000 Metres, MR BEAUTIFUL was checked when crowded for room inside CYBER GULCH (Apprentice K T Yeung) which shifted in when not clear. As the Stewards were satisfied Apprentice Yeung had made some attempt to relieve the pressure he was applying to MR BEAUTIFUL, they decided in the circumstances the appropriate action was that he be reprimanded. When being checked, the saddle on MR BEAUTIFUL shifted forward and this placed D Dunn, its rider, at a considerable disadvantage for the remainder of the race. At the 600 Metres, LOK WAH TREASURE was checked when disappointed for running between THISTLEJADE and ACTIVE ACCOUNT which shifted in away from the heels of DEEP PURPLE. For some distance after this, LOK WAH TREASURE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of THISTLEJADE and tight inside ACTIVE ACCOUNT. At the 200 Metres, THISTLEJADE endeavoured to obtain a run on the outside of WONDERFUL LIFE and on the inside of EPIC EXPRESSION, was unable to do so, was steadied and shifted back in to obtain running. Also at the 200 Metres, EPIC EXPRESSION, which was giving ground, was steadied when crowded for room between CYBER GULCH and WONDERFUL LIFE which was taken out by DASH FOR VICTORIES (R Fradd). R Fradd was reprimanded and told in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mount sooner than he did on this occasion. Over the concluding stages, LOK WAH TREASURE shifted out and raced close to THISTLEJADE. ENORMOUS WAY and JUST TOO GOOD were sent for sampling.
