Racing Incident Report

FIGS, which was standing with its head turned to the left, was slow to begin. On jumping, ALWAYS ZIETEN was bumped by STRIKE TO WIN. ALWAYS ZIETEN was then ridden along to go forward, however, failed to muster speed. ESPRIT D'OR was slow to begin. In the middle stages and making the Home Turn, FEBURO hung out, then after the 400 Metres got its head on the side, commenced to hang in and was steadied away from the heels of KNIGHT TEMPLAR. At the 700 Metres, CENAMIRA was unable to maintain its position when awkwardly placed between ALWAYS ZIETEN and NATURAL NINE which at this time shifted out slightly. For some distance after the 400 Metres, GOLD SANDFIELD was held up and unable to improve when racing behind NATURAL NINE. Approaching the 200 Metres, BOREAS was awkwardly placed outside the heels of STRIKE TO WIN, then at the 200 Metres was steadied when crowded for room between STRIKE TO WIN which shifted out slightly and KNIGHT TEMPLAR which shifted in away from CHINSOLA after initially being carried in by that horse. Throughout the race, BOREAS raced wide and without cover. FEBURO was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of FEBURO after the race did not show any significant findings. NATURAL NINE and CHINSOLA were sent for sampling.
