Racing Incident Report
On jumping, GOOD PROFIT and NITTAN'S WINNER bumped. Shortly after the start, DANACOURT and TRIUMPHANT UNICORN lost ground when crowded for room between GEM OF UNIONLUCKY and MY CHOICE which shifted in. At the 1100 Metres, TRIUMPHANT UNICORN got its head up when being steadied to obtain a position behind DANACOURT. At the 1000 Metres, GOOD PROFIT was steadied away from the heels of NITTAN'S WINNER which shifted out. Approaching the turn at the 800 Metres, REDWOOD FALLS, which had been racing wide and without cover, was carried wider by MY CHOICE which itself was carried out by DANACOURT which when proving difficult to settle shifted out away from the heels of GEM OF UNIONLUCKY. On straightening, GEM OF UNIONLUCKY was bumped by CROWN'S GIFT which shifted out. At the 400 Metres, REDWOOD FALLS was bumped by WEALTHY which shifted out. Approaching and passing the 300 Metres, BOBO WIN had difficulty obtaining clear running between WARCAT and HAPPEE OWNER. At the 300 Metres, GOOD PROFIT, which was held up, was steadied and shifted to the inside of ST MORITZ and then for some distance afterwards continued to have difficulty obtaining clear running. At the 100 Metres, BOBO WIN got its head on the side and shifted in from behind HAPPEE OWNER. For the major part of the race, FOKINE travelled wide and without cover. TRIUMPHANT UNICORN was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, TRIUMPHANT UNICORN was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, TRIUMPHANT UNICORN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. HAPPEE OWNER and DANACOURT were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported WARCAT had finished distressed.
