Racing Incident Report

MEDIC LEGION began very awkwardly, shifted out abruptly and lost a considerable amount of ground. Shortly after the start, CHAMPION LAD was steadied when awkwardly placed between MULTIMIGHTY and FOREVER RICHES. Also shortly after the start, LORD CAIRNS and STILTON lost ground when crowded for room between SILVERBIRD and CHAMP DRAGON which shifted in. After the 1200 Metres, LORD CAIRNS got its head up when proving difficult to settle. Making the Home Turn and in the Straight, MULTIMIGHTY hung out. On straightening, LORD CAIRNS was steadied away from the heels of CHAMPION LAD which shifted out. Throughout the race, KING ACRYLIC travelled wide and without cover. O Doleuze (STILTON) said the crowding he received at the start was of little significance as it had been the intention to ride the horse quietly from a middle barrier and ensure it closed the race off down the outside. He said at its last start when STILTON wore a visor the horse despite being successful was reluctant to improve between horses. He said it was therefore felt with the increase in distance to 1600 Metres today and a change of gear that STILTON would be best suited closing off down the outside. He said the manner in which STILTON ran today again showed the horse lacked maturity, however, its run in the circumstances was satisfactory. FOREVER RICHES was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of FOREVER RICHES after the race did not show any significant findings. SOHNA, MULTIMIGHTY and STILTON were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported KING ACRYLIC had lost its left hind plate.
