Racing Incident Report
Whilst in the holding stalls, SOARING DRAGON shifted its left hind plate. SOARING DRAGON was replated and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. SEASONS KNACK was slow to begin. On jumping, CENTENNIAL SMILE and SOARING DRAGON bumped. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, SOARING DRAGON, which had been hanging in and racing ungenerously, became unbalanced, got its head up and shifted out when being straightened by E Saint-Martin, its rider. When SOARING DRAGON shifted out, inconvenience was caused to BATURO and EVERGREEN, both of which were carried out and EVERGREEN was steadied away from the heels of BAYVIEW GREYSLEW. At the 1300 Metres, SEASONS KNACK, which was proving difficult to settle, shifted in, causing crowding on its inside to CENTENNIAL SMILE. After the 1000 Metres, BAYVIEW GREYSLEW, which had been racing wide and without cover, was allowed to stride forward and join the lead. After straightening, BATURO was steadied and shifted to the outside of DR WELL into clear running. KINGSTON TEMPLE was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. A veterinary inspection of KINGSTON TEMPLE after the race did not show any significant findings. LUCKY MONEY and SOARING DRAGON were sent for sampling.
