Racing Incident Report

On arrival at the Start, Jockey D Beadman expressed concern over the action of MASTER GUNNER. The Veterinary Officer reported that after inspecting MASTER GUNNER, the horse had a stiff and restricted forelimb action. Accordingly, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of MASTER GUNNER. Before being allowed to race again, MASTER GUNNER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. WHATABOB and ZEZAO made heavy contact at the start, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced and WHATABOB shifting ground, causing KING ON EARTH to be checked when crowded for room between that horse and FLUKE which shifted out after being bumped by RIVER JORDAN. From a wide gate, SUPER CARDED was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Shortly after entering the Straight, VANQUISH DELIGHT was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FLUKE (D Whyte) which shifted out. D Whyte was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in future. VICTORY STYLE and SILVER SUN were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that SILVER SUN had lost its left front plate.
