Racing Incident Report

WINSOME began awkwardly. BILLION GAINS was slow to begin. From the outside barrier, ABLE CHARM was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. After the 1000 Metres, KINGSTON SAMBA commenced to over-race and was checked away from the heels of ADORATION. A short distance after this, KINGSTON SAMBA, which continued to over-race, was checked away from the heels of OUR PEGASUS which got its head up and proved very difficult to settle when being checked away from the heels of BET ON ME. For some distance after this, KINGSTON SAMBA continued to over-race badly and after the 800 Metres was severely checked away from the heels of OUR PEGASUS. LUCKY FOLLOW ME, which was following, was checked in consequence and shifted out, resulting in BILLION GAINS and GOOD THINKER being taken wider. After this, GOOD THINKER travelled wide and without cover for the remainder of the event. ADORATION had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. Approaching the 100 Metres, BET ON ME was steadied when crowded for room between LOVE LOCKDOWN which initially shifted in and SHAHJEE which shifted out. In the Straight, SHAHJEE got its head on the side and lay out under pressure. Throughout the race, GOOD LUCK WIN travelled wide and without cover. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that GOOD LUCK WIN had sustained a cut to the left hind heel. A veterinary inspection of EURO POWER after the race did not show any significant findings. ADORATION and LOVE LOCKDOWN were sent for sampling.
<25/4/2011 Additional Veterinary Report>The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that LOVE LOCKDOWN was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, LOVE LOCKDOWN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
