Racing Incident Report
KING OF FISH II was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever). Before being allowed to race again, KING OF FISH II will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
As the start was effected, FORZA bounded in the air and consequently lost ground.
GOAL AND GOLD was slow to begin.
From a wide barrier, PETIT PRINCE was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Making the turn after the 700 Metres, K-MOOCHI got its head on the side and hung out.
Near the 250 Metres, TAKE THE RAP shifted in away from the heels of K-MOOCHI and in doing so bumped KOWLOON EAST KING.
Passing the 200 Metres, GOAL AND GOLD, which hung in under pressure in the Straight, was shifted out away from the heels of KOWLOON EAST KING which was giving ground.
A veterinary inspection of FORZA and KOWLOON EAST KING immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FORZA, PLOT RATIO and TAKE THE RAP were sent for sampling.
<21/3/2013 Additional Veterinary Report>FORZA, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. FORZA was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer Y S Tsui this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, FORZA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
