Racing Incident Report

MOBILE KING began very awkwardly and lost ground at the start.
From the outside barrier, DRAGON BACHELOR was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Near the 2000 Metres, ACTIVISM momentarily raced tight inside WIN ALONG which was racing tight inside ROYAL KNIGHT.
Near the 1800 Metres, WIN ALONG was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MAGNUMOUS.
Passing the 700 Metres, KHARU commenced to give ground abruptly and weakened back through the field.
Near the 500 Metres, ACTIVISM was shifted in away from the heels of KHARU which was continuing to give ground.
ACTIVISM was awkwardly placed close to the heels of HEI HEI POSH rounding the Home Turn and then in the early part of the Straight raced tight inside VERY WELL which got its head on the side and shifted in when giving ground.
The performances of MAGNUMOUS, VERY WELL and KHARU, all of which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MAGNUMOUS, VERY WELL and KHARU will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
For the majority of the race, ROYAL KNIGHT travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, W C Marwing (ROYAL KNIGHT) reported that his saddle shifted back near the 800 Metres.
A veterinary inspection of VERY WELL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of KHARU immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea.
ACTIVISM, HEI HEI POSH and SUPER STRIKE were sent for sampling.
<28/11/2013 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Officer reported that MAGNUMOUS was found to be lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing.
