Racing Incident Report

GENUINE CHAMPION began awkwardly
MONTE CASTELLO began awkwardly and then shortly after the start was awkwardly placed outside GETAWAY GUY which shifted out.
SHARP HUNTER began only fairly and near the 1100 Metres was steadied when racing in restricted room between DANEWIN TIGER and SLICK BULLET (N Callan) which shifted in. N Callan was advised to ensure that he leaves comfortable racing room for runners to his inside in future.
From the outside barrier, EASY SUCCESS was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, SUPER PLUS failed to muster speed and after being taken across behind runners near the 800 Metres got its head on the side and hung out making the turns after the 700 Metres.
Also despite being ridden along in the early stages, ORIENTAL PROSPER failed to muster speed and throughout the race travelled wide and without cover.
Passing the 800 Metres, MONTE CASTELLO was awkwardly placed inside the heels of DEHERE'S THE LOVE when SHARP HUNTER was taken out by DANEWIN TIGER.
Passing the 500 Metres, DEHERE'S THE LOVE raced tight outside DANEWIN TIGER as that horse shifted to the outside of GETAWAY GUY into clear running.
After the 200 Metres, EASY SUCCESS got its head on the side and lay out under pressure.
A veterinary inspection of SLICK BULLET immediately following the race revealed the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, SLICK BULLET will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of SHARP HUNTER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on AMBITIOUS KING at the request of Trainer A T Millard. The Veterinary Surgeon said that this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, AMBITIOUS KING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
AMBITIOUS KING and DEHERE'S THE LOVE were sent for sampling.
