Racing Incident Report
FOR YIU POWER UP began only fairly and then throughout the race hung out before finishing tailed out. The performance of FOR YIU POWER UP was considered unacceptable. A veterinary inspection of FOR YIU POWER UP immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, FOR YIU POWER UP will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial around a bend and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
HORSE SUPREMO shifted out at the start and bumped MONEY MONEY which in turn shifted out and bumped MASSIVE MILLENNIUM.
FOREVER FUN began only fairly and shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of STARLOT which shifted in marginally.
From the outside barrier, RAPHAEL was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Despite being hard ridden, LOOK ERAS took a considerable time to muster speed.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, FOREVER FUN raced tight inside MONEY MONEY which got its head on the side and shifted in away from the heels of STARLOT.
Making the turn after the 700 Metres, MASSIVE MILLENNIUM got its head on the side and lay out.
Approaching the 600 Metres, FOREVER FUN was awkwardly placed inside the heels of MONEY MONEY.
For the majority of the race, both MASSIVE MILLENNIUM and OUR FOLKS travelled wide and without cover.
When questioned regarding the performance of STARLOT, C Schofield stated that whilst he was happy with the position that he was able to obtain in the early and middle stages, the horse did not travel as strongly as it did when he rode it at its most recent start. He said STARLOT came under pressure after the 500 Metres and then did not quicken as he thought it would. He said after this STARLOT finished off the race one-paced and, in his opinion, was disappointing. A veterinary inspection of STARLOT immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, STARLOT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After the race, K C Leung stated that MONEY MONEY came under heavy pressure after the 700 Metres and, despite being ridden out, gave ground. He said after the race MONEY MONEY was reluctant to proceed back to the unplaced saddling area and for this reason he elected to dismount from MONEY MONEY and have the horse led back. A veterinary inspection of MONEY MONEY immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a small overreach wound to the outside of the left front heel. Before being allowed to race again, MONEY MONEY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
STARLOT, KIROV and MASSIVE MILLENNIUM were sent for sampling.
<1/6/2017 Additional Veterinary Report>MONEY MONEY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time the horse had sustained a small overreach wound to the outside of the left front heel. MONEY MONEY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer T P Yung this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. As previously advised, MONEY MONEY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
