Racing Incident Report

THE BEST HERO shifted in at the start and bumped PICHU.
SINCERE BOY shifted out on jumping and bumped DASHING FIT.
PICHU travelled keenly for some distance in the early stages.
Passing the 1100 Metres, DASHING FIT raced tight inside the heels of SPRINT FORWARD.
Making the turn near the 700 Metres, SO AWESOME and DASHING FIT raced tight.
At the 450 Metres, THE BEST HERO raced tight between JADE THEATRE and AMAZING KNIGHT which shifted out marginally away from the heels of LUCKY RUBY. THE BEST HERO was then held up for clear running rounding the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight and approaching the 250 Metres was shifted out a number of horses to obtain clear running.
Near the 250 Metres, SPRINT FORWARD was bumped by AMAZING KNIGHT which improved into tight running between that horse and LUCKY RUBY. Then after the 200 Metres, SPRINT FORWARD, which was commencing to give ground, was shifted out away from the heels of AMAZING KNIGHT.
Also near the 250 Metres, DASHING FIT and JADE THEATRE brushed.
After the 150 Metres, B Shinn (DASHING FIT) dropped his whip. As this was the third occasion this season that Jockey Shinn had been reported to have dropped his whip in races, he was placed on notice that should he offend again in the near future, further action may be taken.
Throughout the race, SO AWESOME travelled wide and without cover.
When questioned, Z Purton stated that after proceeding to the Start in a satisfactory manner, UNTOLD RICHES took a number of short strides on jumping and he immediately became concerned that the horse had gone amiss as it would not stretch out and therefore he eased the horse out of the race. A veterinary inspection of UNTOLD RICHES following the race found that horse to be lame in both hind legs with further diagnostic assessment to be undertaken. UNTOLD RICHES was also found to have blood at the left nostril and an endoscopic examination conducted on the horse confirmed it to be a bleeder. Before being allowed to race again, UNTOLD RICHES will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of SINCERE BOY, SPLIT OF A SECOND, THE BEST HERO and PICHU immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
COOLCELEB and DASHING FIT were sent for sampling.
