Racing Incident Report

GLORIOUS LOVER and KING DRAGON were crowded for room on jumping between HYPERION TREE which shifted out marginally and SUNNY DELIGHT which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. This resulted in KING DRAGON being hampered and GLORIOUS LOVER losing ground.
PAKISTAN FRIEND shifted out abruptly at the start, resulting in SUPER HONG KONG losing ground when crowded for room inside TAILOR MADE.
From wide barriers, TAILOR MADE and SMART PATCH were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 1650 Metres, GLORIOUS LOVER raced tight inside SUPER HONG KONG which shifted in.
Approaching the 1000 Metres, SICOMORO got its head on the side and lay in towards the heels of LUCKY DIAMOND.
Passing the 700 Metres, SUPER HONG KONG was awkwardly placed close to the heels of NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE as that horse shifted to the outside of PAKISTAN FRIEND.
Passing the 400 Metres, PAKISTAN FRIEND was shifted out away from the heels of SICOMORO as that horse commenced to give ground.
TAILOR MADE was held up for clear running from near the 250 Metres until approaching the 200 Metres at which time TAILOR MADE attempted to improve between METHANE and PAKISTAN FRIEND. Then near the 150 Metres, TAILOR MADE was shifted out a number of horses when disappointed for running between METHANE and PAKISTAN FRIEND which shifted in.
Passing the 150 Metres, KING DRAGON shifted out and inconvenienced METHANE.
Over the concluding stages, SMART PATCH raced tight inside LUCKY DIAMOND.
Throughout the race, SICOMORO travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, C Y Ho (SUNNY DELIGHT) stated that after riding his mount along in the early stages to obtain a forward position, he had hoped to be able to obtain a trailing position behind the leaders approaching and passing the winning post on the first occasion. He said he steadied his mount for some distance at this point of the race in an attempt to obtain cover behind another runner, however, SUNNY DELIGHT travelled too keenly and he was not able to steady sufficiently to allow LUCKY DIAMOND to cross and provide SUNNY DELIGHT with cover. He said after having to continue to race in the lead, SUNNY DELIGHT travelled too keenly in the middle stages and because of this was not able to finish the race off. A veterinary inspection of SUNNY DELIGHT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of METHANE, GLORIOUS LOVER, HYPERION TREE and SICOMORO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE and SUPER HONG KONG were sent for sampling.
