3 6 FAST BUCK (H126) <18/3/2024 Additional Veterinary Reports>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that FAST BUCK was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, FAST BUCK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
4 1 YELLOWFIN (G326) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
5 7 GOOD BUDDY (E097) Bumped shortly after the start.
6 8 SELF IMPROVEMENT (H337) Jumped only fairly and then became unbalanced when crowded shortly after the start by GOOD BUDDY which shifted in.

11 2 ARMOUR EAGLE (G093) Jumped awkwardly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea.
12 4 SMOKEY BEAR (E126) On jumping blundered badly, became unbalanced and lost ground. After the race, Z Purton reported that when he felt there was something amiss with his mount in the Home Straight he did not ride it out to the finish when not in a competitive position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. The performance of SMOKEY BEAR was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, SMOKEY BEAR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
