2 10 GREAT HERO (CH016) Z Purton B/TT Out with rest, restrained from outside alley, ended up 4Ls or so away on rails, not suited by steady tempo, shifted out on bend and circled field, swept down middle making many lengths to snare 2nd late.
3 4 ROYAL PEGASUS (CK103) M Du Plessis H Away nicely, took ideal spot on leaders back, did little in middle stages with lack of pace on, still right there on turning, kept to task well but lacked extra gears to trouble winner.
4 2 WARM EMBRACES (CJ162) D Whyte -- Standard break, ended up 3Ls or so away on rails, not asked in middle stages, in traffic on turning, clear passing 200 M and kept on evenly to make frame.
5 7 DASH AHEAD (CD199) J Lloyd SR Drifted back soon after start, ended up last 5 to 6Ls and not helped by standard tempo, still well back with job to do turning, closed well making many lengths final 200 M to be nearest on line.
6 9 CLASSIC REUNION (CH166) W C Marwing B/SR Slow into stride, mustered to race outside lead early, took 1 out 1 back trail in back straight, no excuses thereafter, made a 3 wide run and was 1L away on turning, no extra from 200 M and faded late.
7 8 LASKER (CJ340) O Doleuze XB Reasonable jump, pressed forward to take close order, trapped 4 wide without cover early, did plenty of work to eventually cross outside leader at 600 M 1L down on turning, hard run took toll and just battled late.
8 12 AMAZING JOURNEY (CH281) C K Tong B/TT Out in line, ended up in mifield 4Ls off leaders, didn't settle with slow speed, ridden along on bend, produced only a moderate finish despite being bumped at 150 M, just held ground thereafter.
9 1 FLORAL NIRVANA (CH232) K L Chui TT Fair to begin, ridden along to take closer order, unable to cross and posted much without cover, had trail from midpoint racing 2 wide, hard run took toll and faded out late.
10 5 BEST POWER (CG006) K C Leung TT Lacked pace as usual, taken back but proved difficult to settle throughout, ended up 5Ls or more away in rear division, lacked usual finish in straight and plodded to line.
11 6 SOLAR POWER (CE047) H W Lai TT Standard break, ended up 5Ls or so away in 2 wide line behind midfield, shuffled back approaching bend, made no real progress in straight and just battled late.
12 11 MINGS' HERO (CJ011) W M Lai B-/SR Well enough to begin, forced to restrain from a wide gate to get cover, raced 3 wide 3 to 4Ls away, had trail to midpoint but without cover thereafter, urged along turning, produced only a moderate response late.
