Racing Incident Report
Whilst parading behind the starting gates, SIR TIMAH kicked out and made contact with a rail. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed by him as being suitable to race. On jumping, HORSE OF HEALTHY and CONNOISSEUR'S BET came together. TUMBLER missed the start, then raced greenly and hung out badly throughout. TUMBLER was also difficult to handle in the parade. The performance of TUMBLER was considered to be unacceptable and before the horse can race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. Just after the start, CHINESESPORT GLORY lost its position when crowded between JAMIESON and WINNING LUCK. Near the winning post, WINNING LUCK (W M Lai), which had a tendency to lay in, shifted ground, this caused CONNOISSEUR'S BET, which although giving ground, to be steadied. W M Lai was told he must exercise far more care. CONNOISSEUR'S BET was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
