Racing Incident Report
J Egan, who had been declared to ride both COGITO and WATCH ME WIN, was fined $3,000 for accepting two rides in the one race. It was established that at declaration time J Egan initially had a firm commitment for COGITO. On leaving the Parade Ring, Apprentice M W Leung was dislodged from MANOR STAR. MANOR STAR jumped very awkwardly and threw its head about. As a consequence of this, the horse lost a lot of ground. Before being allowed to race again, MANOR STAR will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial (stalls test). THE BEST WINNER left the gates badly with its head up. OPTIC ELITE left the gates cleanly, was then steadied and ridden in a rearward position. About the 600 Metres, INTEGRITY was steadied when awkwardly placed between the hindquarters of JUST IN TIME and CENTURY STAR. INTEGRITY was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
