Racing Incident Report

On jumping, GOT IT GOOD bounded in the air, then was bumped by SALUT BEAUTE which shifted in slightly. Also on jumping, BRILLIANT EXPRESS, NOBLE CRUSADER and ASIA RISING were crowded for room between GREEN TREASURE which shifted out after stumbling on jumping and FORTE which shifted in. Shortly after this, ASIA RISING was checked when crowded for room between GREEN TREASURE and NOBLE CRUSADER which shifted in as a result of being unbalanced. Making the Home Turn, FORTE hung out, then in the Straight hung in and proved difficult to ride. After the 200 Metres, NOBLE CRUSADER shifted out and because of this D Whyte stopped riding and straightened. A Marcus (DOUBLE DIP) explained he had been instructed to lead and accordingly he rode forward in the early stages to cross to the fence. He said after reaching the lead, prior to the 800 Metres he attempted to steady the tempo, when he did this, DOUBLE DIP initially travelled comfortably for him, however, when FORTE improved on his outside and headed him after the 600 Metres, DOUBLE DIP immediately appeared to resent racing inside other horses and was reluctant to stride out. He said in the Straight he remained racing on the inner and DOUBLE DIP at no stage responded to his riding. DOUBLE DIP was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of DOUBLE DIP after the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of DOUBLE DIP was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DOUBLE DIP will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination ATHLETIC GOLD was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of ATHLETIC GOLD after the race did not show any significant findings. NOBLE CRUSADER and GREEN TREASURE were sent for sampling.
