Racing Incident Report
PARADIS was withdrawn on 3.1.06 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter VICTORY MARBLE (G Mossé). Before being allowed to race again, PARADIS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Just prior to the start being effected, VICTORY MARBLE became fractious and lunged forward, causing its gate to open momentarily before the gates of the other stalls. EVER KING began awkwardly and lost ground. At the 400 Metres, AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT, which was hanging out, was carried wider by CLASSA WIN which at this time was steadied and shifted to the outside of NOBLE WIND to go forward. Shortly after straightening, THOUSAND WINS was checked when unable to improve between VICTORY MARBLE and NOBLE WIND. At the same time, EVER KING was shifted out away from the heels of THOUSAND WINS and was then checked severely to avoid the heels of NOBLE WIND which was giving ground. Throughout the race, NOBLE WIND raced in a forward position but three wide without cover, then in the Straight gave ground. NOBLE WIND was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of NOBLE WIND after the race did not show any significant findings. VISIONNAIRE, CLASSA WIN and ADD THE FUN were sent for sampling.
