Racing Incident Report
After being boxed, TERRAFERMA became fractious. Because of this, GREAT HERO and BRAVO BRAVO also became fractious. When the start was effected, TERRAFERMA, which continued to be fractious, was slow to begin. CENTURY SUPER STAR was slow to begin and then was taken across behind runners. At the 1000 Metres, CENTURY SUPER STAR was steadied away from the heels of BRAVO BRAVO. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, LUCKY DRAGON got its head up on several occasions when being steadied away from the heels of TREASURABLE. Passing the 800 Metres, BRAVO BRAVO, which was racing wide, became unbalanced and was checked when awkwardly placed close to the heels of AMAZING FORTUNE which at this time was carried out slightly by SALUT BEAUTE which was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of NEW TRIUMPH which itself shifted out when being steadied to avoid the heels of TREASURE PLANET (W M Lai) which shifted in when not properly clear. CENTURY SUPER STAR and CASH MONEY, which were following, were hampered in consequence. W M Lai was reprimanded and advised to exercise greater care. In the middle stages and in the Straight, TREASURE PLANET hung out. Making the Home Turn, GREAT HERO was steadied when improving into a narrow run on the inside of GENERAL SPEEDEE. Prior to straightening, CENTURY SUPER STAR was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of BRAVO BRAVO. After the 400 Metres, WIKI WIKI was checked away from the heels of SALUT BEAUTE. Near the 300 Metres, TERRAFERMA got its head on the side and shifted in. B Prebble (BRAVO BRAVO) explained at no stage of the race did his mount feel comfortable in its action. He said after receiving interference at the 800 Metres, BRAVO BRAVO's action worsened and because of this he did not ride his mount out to the end of the race. BRAVO BRAVO was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. After the race, BRAVO BRAVO was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horse's trachea and he also noted the horse had sustained a laceration to its right hind leg. Before being allowed to race again BRAVO BRAVO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. TERRAFERMA and CENTURY SUPER STAR were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of TERRAFERMA and CENTURY SUPER STAR after the race did not show any significant findings. COUNTRY MAGIC and TREASURE PLANET were sent for sampling.
