Racing Incident Report

On arrival at the Start, it was noted ABLE DRAGON had a superficial wound over the right hip. An examination of ABLE DRAGON by the Veterinary Officer found that horse suitable to race.
After being loaded, ALL MY BENEFIT became fractious. ALL MY BENEFIT was removed from the stalls and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. Whilst ALL MY BENEFIT was undergoing its veterinary examination, CRUISE CONTROL also became very fractious and made contract with the front of the gates before sitting down. CRUISE CONTROL was removed from the stalls and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said, in his opinion, it was not suitable to race having sustained a wound over the right elbow. Acting on this advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of CRUISE CONTROL. Before being allowed to race again, ALL MY BENEFIT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test whilst CRUISE CONTROL will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
MIZZEN GREY began awkwardly.
From wide barriers, MALHECHOR GOLD, JOLLY GOOD and SECRETARY OF STATE were all taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, EASY AHEAD failed to muster speed.
For the majority of the race, PRINCE OF SUNSHINE travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, Z Purton stated that SUISSE D’OR came under heavy pressure to maintain its position outside INFINITE COURAGE prior to the 500 Metres. He said when under pressure early in the Straight SUISSE D’OR became unbalanced in its action and gave him the feel of a horse that may have gone amiss and for this reason after testing his mount in the early stages of the Straight he eased it down over the final 200 Metres. A veterinary inspection of SUISSE D’OR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of SUISSE D’OR was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SUISSE D’OR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of MALHECHOR GOLD immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, MALHECHOR GOLD will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of ALL MY BENEFIT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of SECRETARY OF STATE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
SECRETARY OF STATE, NATURAL CHAMPION and INFINITE COURAGE were sent for sampling.

<10/3/2014 Additional Veterinary Reports>MALHECHOR GOLD, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time he found the horse to be displaying an irregular heart rhythm. MALHECHOR GOLD was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer Y S Tsui this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front fetlock. As previously advised, MALHECHOR GOLD will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
