Racing Incident Report

PRODIGY jumped awkwardly. SMART HORSE missed the start, then shifted in and bumped SKY HAWK. Near the winning post the first time, HIDDEN TALENT was steadied when momentarily tight inside the heels of CHINESESPORT GLORY. Turning out of the Straight the first time, SMART HORSE, which was proving very difficult to settle, threw its head about, shifted ground and bumped RECOGNITION. In the early stages, GRENADIER proved difficult to settle and several times threw its head about when awkward on the heels of GUSCOTT. In the Straight, SUCCESSFUL SPIRIT hung in, as a consequence brushed SOUND GALLOP at about the 100 Metres. In the early part of the Straight, HIDDEN TALENT was steadied and shifted to the outside of HANDSOME MAN to find running and go forward. In the latter part of the Straight, ROMANTIC VENTURE hung out. SOUND GALLOP was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon examined KOWLOON'S BLESSING. He said the horse was showing signs of having a heart irregularity. Before KOWLOON'S BLESSING can race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be subject to an official veterinary examination.
