Racing Incident Report
TREASURE FIELD was slowly away. Just after the start, GOOD NEWS was checked and OPTIC ELITE was severely checked when crowded between V-CAN which shifted in and MUNDAHISH which shifted out abruptly after making contact with ONE STEP AHEAD which left the gates very awkwardly and shifted out. Near the 700 Metres, KING OF JEWELRY became unbalanced when crowded by GOOD NEWS which momentarily shifted in. Near the 500 Metres, BOBO DUCK shifted out slightly and bumped ONE STEP AHEAD. On straightening, TOYMARK was steadied and shifted out to find running and go forward. ONE STEP AHEAD was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that ONE STEP AHEAD was in an abnormally distressed condition. Before the horse can race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
