Racing Incident Report

POWER HOUSE left the gates awkwardly, shifted in abruptly and this caused CHAMPION BOMB to be severely checked. On jumping, GOOD JOB was severely checked when tightened for room between EASY TAKE and SUPREME PARTNERS which was taken in by STORM BOY which left the gates awkwardly and shifted in abruptly. The occurrence in the opinion of the Stewards was accidental. At about the 1500 Metres, CIGAR KING, which was proving difficult to settle and pulling, shifted in abruptly and then was checked off the heels of EASY TAKE (W Woods) which was shifting in when not clear. As a consequence of CIGAR KING being taken in, POWER HOUSE was checked. Inconvenience was also caused to RED COMMANDER and to CHAMPION BOMB which was following. BEETLE, which was racing outside CHAMPION BOMB, was also checked away from the heels of MONEY STAR. It was decided in all the circumstances of this case not to take any direct action, but W Woods was severely reprimanded and told he must exercise far more care when shifting ground. Near the 800 Metres, STORM BOY momentarily got its head on the side and hung in, this caused some crowding to BEETLE and RED COMMANDER. About the 500 Metres, TIME HONOUR was checked when disappointed for running between CHAMPION BOMB and BEETLE which shifted out in an endeavour to find running. Some inconvenience was also caused to SUPREME PARTNERS which was following. RED COMMANDER was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
