Racing Incident Report

After being placed in the barrier, MY DELIGHT (E Legrix) became very fractious and reared over. Acting on veterinary advice that MY DELIGHT was not suitable to race, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the gelding. Before MY DELIGHT will be permitted to race again, it will be required to pass an official barrier trial. When MY DELIGHT reared over, E Legrix injured his right knee. Subsequently E Legrix was examined by the Club's doctor and passed fit to fulfil his remaining riding engagements. At the start, BEIJING DOLLAR was checked when crowded for room between SAI KUNG STAR and TAR 'N' FEATHER, both of which had shifted ground. MUNDAHISH began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, COSMO ONE was momentarily steadied away from the heels of BOLD'N POWER which shifted in momentarily. At about the 200 Metres and again at about the 100 Metres, RORY'S BID was momentarily crowded for room by NO COMPETITOR (B Marcus) which shifted in. B Marcus was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that NO COMPETITOR had sustained a wound to the near hind coronet. Before racing again, NO COMPETITOR will be required to pass an official veterinary examination.
