Racing Incident Report

FORM FIT left the gates very awkwardly, bounded in the air, shifted out abruptly and bumped the hindquarters of CENDAMY. This resulted in both FORM FIT and CENDAMY becoming rather badly unbalanced. Before FORM FIT can race again, it must perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. On jumping, LUCK ALWAYS COMES was crowded for room between CONGEE KING and SOUTHERN LIGHT, both of which shifted ground. BOWIN, which was restless in the starting stalls, was slowly away. Throughout the race, STRATEGUS hung out away from MAJOR BEE and about the 600 Metres came together with WONDERFUL WIN. About the 200 Metres, GOOD PROSPERITY was steadied when crowded between CHAMPION WINNER and WONDERFUL WIN which was taken out slightly by STRATEGUS which was shifted ground to avoid the heels of MAJOR BEE (K C Tsang) which was shifting out when not quite clear. K C Tsang was told he must exercise far more care. In the run to the winning post, GOOD TIME FOR ALL hung out. Mr B K Ng (MAJOR BEE) explained the horse had shown some speed at its first run, but over the concluding stages had weakened. He did say MAJOR BEE had trialed well down the straight 1000 Metres last month and had run good time. He therefore considered after disappointing over the 1400 Metres the horse may perform better down the straight. Mr Ng said however last week when working on the 1800 Metres, MAJOR BEE had disappointed and before tonight's race he did mention to the owner the horse should improve, but for it to win this evening had surprised him. Mr Ng concluded by saying it is his intention to run MAJOR BEE again down the straight 1000 Metres if he is able to obtain a run with the horse. GOOD PROSPERITY was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, GOOD PROSPERITY was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No abnormalities were detected. MAJOR BEE and CHAMPION WINNER were sent for sampling.
