Racing Incident Report
CHEERS CHINA was slow to begin and shortly afterwards was bumped by STRONGHEART which on jumping got its head up and shifted out. ROMANTIC SYMPHONY, KEEN WINNER and HAPPY CONTENDER were slow to begin. In the early stages, LUCKY SIX proved difficult to settle. A Suborics (OPERA MAGIC) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that at about the 1100 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of BEST FOR ALL, causing that horse to lose its rightful running and be severely checked. Crowding was caused on the inside of BEST FOR ALL to STRONGHEART and LUCKY SIX. A Suborics was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Thursday 20 February 2003 on which day he may resume race riding (4 Hong Kong race days). This suspension is to take immediate effect. On straightening, KEEN WINNER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of BEST FOR ALL. At the 300 Metres, STRONGHEART was steadied when crowded for room between CHAMP DE UNION and SAGACIOUS which was taken out by ROMANTIC SYMPHONY (M Cahill). M Cahill was advised to exercise more care. MEDIC CORPS and GEM OF INDIA were sent for sampling.
