Racing Incident Report
NIC'S CUTE was slow to begin. On jumping, COSMO SUCCESS and ADVANCE AHEAD bumped. CHOICE AND CHANCE was a little slow to begin and then was inconvenienced when ACE OF PACE shifted out. Shortly after the start, ENCHANTED EVENING was steadied away from the heels of MASCOT which shifted in when only just clear. Near the 1100 Metres, BRILLIANT ATTORNEY was steadied away from the heels of MASCOT which momentarily shifted in when not quite clear. After the 1000 Metres, HANDBAG FORTUNE, which was proving difficult to settle, was bumped by MASCOT. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY and BRILLIANT ATTORNEY, which were following, were inconvenienced. After the 400 Metres, CHOICE AND CHANCE was carried in by BRILLIANT ATTORNEY which shifted ground. After the 200 Meters, W C Marwing (FOR YOUR EYES ONLY) had the whip knocked from his hand by the whip of A Marcus (WINNING PARADE). In the Straight, ADVANCE AHEAD hung out and proved difficult to ride. For the major part of the race, KING PALM from the outside barrier was obliged to race wide and without cover. Throughout the race, ZERO IN raced wide and without cover and making the Home Turn hung out. NIC'S CUTE was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, NIC'S CUTE was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No abnormalities were detected. The performance of NIC'S CUTE, which tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before NIC'S CUTE will be permitted to race again, it must perform competitively in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. HANDBAG FORTUNE was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. A veterinary examination of HANDBAG FORTUNE after the race did not show any significant findings. WINNING PARADE, FOR YOUR EYES ONLY and BRILLIANT were sent for sampling.
