Racing Incident Report

GREAT SENSATION and SEASONS KNACK were slow to begin. Shortly after the start, MOUNTAIN KING and MEHBOOB THE THIRD bumped. At the 1400 Metres, GREAT SENSATION got its head up and was steadied away from the heels of WADADELIGHT. After this, GREAT SENSATION hung out and was steadied away from the heels of MOUNTAIN KING. Near the 1000 Metres, FAIRPLAY, which was travelling keenly, was steadied away from the heels of MEHBOOB THE THIRD. Near the 800 Metres, SEASONS KNACK was crowded for room between GREAT SENSATION and CYBER GULCH which shifted out away from the heels of SHOW BRAVELY which was steadied to avoid the heels of MAXIMUM JOY which had its head on the side and shifted in. At the 700 Metres, SEASONS KNACK was checked when crowded for room between GREAT SENSATION which shifted in slightly and CYBER GULCH which shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SHOW BRAVELY which itself was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MAXIMUM JOY which was giving ground. In the circumstances, no action was taken. On straightening, SEASONS KNACK was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of MOUNTAIN KING. For some distance after straightening, HAPPY WINNING had difficulty obtaining clear running behind BUDDIES POWER and inside O' SHINY. Whilst the Stewards were satisfied the riding of T Mundry (SHOW BRAVELY) over the concluding stages did not affect the horse's finishing position, he was however reminded that wherever possible he must continue to ride his mounts out at least hands and heels to the end of the race. GREAT SENSATION was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of GREAT SENSATION after the race did not show any significant findings. BUDDIES POWER, WADADELIGHT and MEHBOOB THE THIRD were sent for sampling.
