Racing Incident Report

NO COMPROMISE was slow to begin, then began awkwardly and lost a considerable amount of ground. GIDDY KIPPER began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of POWERFUL. PROFIT DAY began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped MILLENNIUM LEGEND. AMICABLE began awkwardly. From the outside gate, SWEETIE was immediately steadied and shifted across behind runners to race closer to the rail but at the rear. Near the 1300 Metes, SWEETIE and GIDDY KIPPER were carried wider when NO COMPROMISE shifted out whilst being steadied away from the heels of WORLD STAR. When the pace slackened near the 1000 Metres, EL VIENTO got its head up when checked away from the heels of ELEGANCE which steadied away from the heels of PROFIT DAY which at this stage when leading slowed. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, EL VIENTO became unbalanced and bumped the running rail when crowded for room inside A BETTER DRAGON which shifted in away from BRAVISSIMO. For the major part of the race, BRAVISSIMO raced wide and without cover, near the 400 Metres was carried wider when A BETTER DRAGON shifted to the outside of MILLENNIUM LEGEND into clear running. On straightening, SWEETIE was bumped by GIDDY KIPPER which shifted out after being bumped by POWERFUL. Near the 250 Metres, GIDDY KIPPER was brushed by POWERFUL which shifted out. Then on two occasions after the 200 Metres, POWERFUL was bumped by GIDDY KIPPER which shifted in while hanging. Passing the 200 Metres, NO COMPROMISE had difficulty obtaining clear running between EL VIENTO and PROFIT DAY which was giving ground. D Whyte (BRAVISSIMO) said near the 1000 Metres his saddle shifted forward which placed him at a slight disadvantage, then after the 500 Metres he rode the horse along, it failed to respond to his riding and in the Straight in his opinion shortened in its action, therefore he did not ride the horse out. BRAVISSIMO was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of BRAVISSIMO after the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, BRAVISSIMO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A BETTER DRAGON and EL VIENTO were sent for sampling.
