Racing Incident Report

MEMBERS GLORY, KINDRED SPIRITS and THE PIONEER bounded in the air at the start and lost ground. LIGHT FOOT began awkwardly and bumped the outside gate of its stall. Near the 300 Metres, LIGHT FOOT and MONZA KING came together. After the 100 Metres, KINDRED SPIRITS, which was closing the race off fairly, was steadied when unable to obtain clear running between THISTLEJADE and STOIC which shifted out slightly. Apprentice C W Wong (UNIVERSAL CHARGER) explained on straightening when he was shifting his mount to the outside into clear running, he momentarily dropped his right side rein and while he was re-gathering this UNIVERSAL CHARGER shifted further out than he had wished. He said after this he continued to ride UNIVERSAL CHARGER along with the whip while the horse drifted to the outside rail. Apprentice Wong was told in similar circumstances he would be expected to straighten his mounts to prevent them covering unnecessary ground. GREEN IN BLUE, PACIFIC ALLIANCE and SEASONS KNACK were sent for sampling.
